BLOOMBERG DOING AWAY WITH TERM LIMITS?

New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg apparently is considering trying to do away with the term limits that the citizens of New York City voted in to effect.  Is he doing it by voter referendum?  Of course not.  He is making a backroom deal with other politicians on the city council.  What is he offering?  With a wink and a nod, it is suggested that he is doing away with or at least extending the term limits of other politicians in the city.

The citizens of New York City voted for term limits.  If Mayor Bloomberg and the rest of the politicos want to overturn the term limits, let them go to their constituents instead of trying to do it legislatively.  This is not Venezuela where the leaders can arbitrarily decide how long they will stay in office.  If he somehow pulls off changing the term limits law, I hope the city of New York votes him out on his ass.  He might be able to change the term limit rules, but he can't change the vote.
