The following states went to the polls on March 4th: Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas and Vermont. Sen. John McCain swept all of the primaries for the Republicans and in so-doing clinched the nomination for the Republicans. Gov. Mike Huckabee officially dropped out of the race as a result.
Sen. Hillary Clinton won 3 of the 4 states voting while Sen. Barack Obama won 1 state and it looks as if he will win the seperate caucuses being held in Texas. Mathmatically, it is getting harder and harder for Sen. Clinton to win the nomination. However, she has vowed to stay in the race and keep fighting for the nomination.
