WHO ARE THE REAL RACISTS?
One of the stereotypes of Conservatives is that they are racists. Quite honestly, this is so easy to debunk that it actually surprises me that this stereotype is still on-going. Read the whole editorial and then tell me who the real racists are.
The definition of racism: The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

If that definition does not fit the liberals of this country, then I don't know what does. As Conservatives, we expect the people of this great country to do for themselves. Why? Because we know they can. The people of this country do not need the help of our government to make things happen in their lives. Let's take affirmative action for example. Now if you say you are against affirmative action, you are automatically labeled a racist. I say, if you are for affirmative action, you are a racist. How can that be?
As a Conservative, I know that anyone, whether they be black, white, red, brown, yellow or anywhere in between, can be whatever it is that they want to be. (Read my very first editorial) All it takes is hard work and determination. If you want to be a doctor, you can be a doctor. If you want to be a lawyer, you can be a lawyer. If you want to be a teacher, you can be a teacher. ANYONE can do it without the interference of government if they work hard enough and strive to be their best.
What do liberals believe? Minorities CAN NOT do it on their own. They need affirmative action to become what they want to become. Why? Read the definition above. Think about that. Conservatives view everyone as equal. Liberals say that minorities can not do things without their help. Which sounds racist to you?
As a Conservative, I want the best qualified person for any given position. If I need surgery, I want the best surgeon. It doesn't matter what race they are. I think colleges should accept new students based on who is best, not based on race. I believe when a company hires a new employee, they should hire the best person regardless of race. Conservatives are colorblind. Liberals see everything based on race. Employers should have a certain number of minority workers. Universities should have a certain number of minority students. They make decisions based on race.
Again, think about that. Conservatives want the best person for the job regardless of color. Liberals want to make decisions based on race. Which sounds racist to you?
The Democrats continue to get about 90% of the black vote. What have the Democrats done to deserve this support? They have argued that minorities NEED special preference to get by. In other words, they need white people to get them in to college, to get them jobs, to get them contracts. That sounds to me like a feeling of superiority. The Republicans say the opposite. Minorities can do anything non-minorities can do. We are equal.
Which party believes we are all equal and which party believes that minorities NEED help to do anything? Answer honestly. Now, read the definition again. Then tell me who the real racists are.
